CHAPTER INVISIBLE

Joe was the second son of three born to the parents of Florence J. and Joe E. Barnes Sr. on August 28, 1959. Easily the most outgoing of his siblings, Joe’s personality endeared him to everyone throughout the community and his elementary school. It was at Yale School where Joe’s leadership began to take shape. Joe went on to attend Chicago Vocational High School where he lettered in Football while studying as a vocational welding major.

Taylor W. Cannon, Jr. was born on June 28, 1954 at Bethany Hospital in Chicago, IL, to the late Taylor W. Cannon, Sr. and Marguerite E. Cannon.

 Taylor accepted Christ at an early age.  He joined the St. Stephens Missionary Baptist Church in 1962 and was a faithful member for many years.  In 1995, Taylor joined the Congregational Church of Park Manor UCC, where he actively participated in many church activities.
